Semaforum values the privacy of each individual that visits Semaforum platform and/or registeres on Semaforum platform. Privacy policy clearly states what data and in which way Semaforum platform collects and later uses this data. It also provides clear information of how can a user take control of the collected data.

Semaforum does not collect any data that can uniquely identify an individual, unless the data is voluntarily forwarded by the user. Example of such data is name, last name, city of residence, age, gender, phone number, email address and so on. If you do not want Semaforum platform to have access to your personal data, do not forward this data to us.

Upon registration you will be prompted to enter your name, last name, email address, gender and age. We need this data from all registered users in order to ensure good user experience to other users that are already registered on the platform. Such data is essential for other registered users to successfully find company for activities. For easier registration we support login/registration via Google and Facebook. Even if you choose to login to Semaforum via external platforms we still collect only the necessary data (name, last name, email address, age, gender and city of residence if you allow us to access that).

After registering you can choose to fill in some extra data like city of residence, visited countries, how many times per week do you do sports and culture and some other information. All the additional information is entered voluntarily and is only used to provide a better user experience to all Semaforum platform users.

You can also forward different kinds of personal data to other Semaforum users via private messages. We are not responsible for the content shared between users in private messages and/or comments.

If you choose to enter your personal data it will be displayed on your profile and will be visible to other registered users. Based on thi data we will recommend you interesting activities and also recommend your posted activities to other Semaforum users. Your email address will never be visible to other users and will never be exposed to 3rd parties. We only use it to provide a better user experience (sending of notifications when you receive private messages, etc.).

Parents of minors must acknowledge that the data voluntarily forwarded by their children or others in private messages or in emails between Semaforum users can be used by users to transmit unwanted messages. We encourage all users to educate themselves and possible minors about safe and responsible use of personal data on the internet.

Semaforum and their developers stick to best practices all the time when it comes to data protection. In compliance with Slovenian and European legislation about data protection we are performing appropriate procedures to prevent unauthorized access and abuse of personal data. We use security procedures to restrict access to personal data on our server platforms. Permission to access personal data is only granted to staff that need it in order to perform their job.

User has the ability to change the data we store using user settings dialog. Alongside with this data we collect data about interests of each registered user. The data is collected only based on actions he does on Semaforum platform. All the data can be obtained by the user upon request. User is also able to completely delete all the data we have by deleting his Semaforum account.

Semaforum platform will not send any email messages that are not directly tied to your actions on the platform against your will. Unless you opt-in you will not receive email messages such as news about new features of the Semaforum platform or news about activities on the platform.

If you perform certain actions on Semaforum platform it is possible that you receive some so called system email messages as they are essential for platform operation. You will be notified of comments on your activities or saved activities and about personal messages users send regarding your activities. You can avoid all such email messages by not posting and/or saving activities, not commenting and not sending personal messages.

When you visit the Semaforum platform we store certain data in the form of cookies or other similar files. We only store such data that helps us bring a better user experience to our end users. We store data about the sessions to our cookies so you do not have to login every time you visit Semaforum platform. We also store some user setting in cookies - such as for example preferred language. Most of web browsers support removing of cookies. We do not collect any of the data to identify specific users but to analyze how an average user uses the platform and what can we do to make his/her user experience better. In accordance to best practices we use "anonymize IP" ability. By using that we only collect a short form of IP address which disables user identification based on the IP address. We do not process the IP address that we collect with Google Analytics with other data and we also do not send it to any 3rd parties. To prevent sending such requests users can use appropriate browser extensions that will block the requests.

We do not collect any of the data to identify specific users but to analyze how an average user uses the platform and what can we do to make his/her user experience better. We do not collect any of the data to identify specific users but to analyze how an average user uses the platform and what can we do to make his/her user experience better.
